Bulk outdoor materials are sold in units nobody measures their yard in: cubic yards, tons, and 80 lb bags. These calculators do the conversion. Measure your project in feet and inches, and each tool returns the quantity in the unit your supplier actually sells, with a waste factor built in so you do not come up short mid-pour or mid-spread.
The estimates use standard US material figures: an 80 lb concrete bag yields about 0.60 cubic feet, crushed stone runs about 1.4 tons per cubic yard, and a cubic yard of mulch covers 108 square feet at 3 inches deep. Every calculator states its formula openly, so you can check the arithmetic against your supplier's quote before you spend anything.
